The 8th grade reading class just completed the historical fiction book, Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. They got a closer look into what Philadelphia was like when yellow fever threaten the survival of society. Matty Cook gave us an inside look as to the realities that teenagers had to face during such a difficult time for the United States.
From death and disaster to the fountain of youth! The 8th graders are about to venture into Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit. The book has some powerful themes surrounding life decisions, such as making the most of what we have and being grateful for it!
